Order Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines the procedures and guidelines for order cancellations on Nosh Network. As a food rescue platform, we connect consumers with surplus food that would otherwise go to waste, and our policies reflect the unique nature of this service.
2. Our Service Model
Nosh Network operates on a self-pickup model only:
- All orders must be picked up directly from the seller's location
- We do not offer delivery services at this time
- Pickup times are specified by the seller and confirmed at checkout
- It is the buyer's responsibility to arrive during the designated pickup window
This model helps us keep costs low and minimize environmental impact while ensuring food can be rescued efficiently.
3. Order Cancellations
3.1 Buyer Cancellations
Due to the time-sensitive nature of surplus food, our cancellation policy is limited:
- Orders may be cancelled within 15 minutes of placing the order
- Orders cannot be cancelled once the seller has confirmed the order
- To cancel an eligible order, contact the seller directly through the app
Please understand that these restrictions help ensure that food can be redirected to other buyers rather than going to waste.
3.2 Seller Cancellations
Sellers may cancel orders under the following circumstances:
- If the surplus food is no longer available
- If the quality of the food has deteriorated
- If the business must close unexpectedly
In case of seller cancellation, buyers will be notified immediately through the app.
4. Payment Considerations
Our payment process works as follows:
- Payment is processed at the time of order confirmation
- For eligible cancellations, payment holds will be released
- No refunds are provided for no-shows or late pickups
- In case of seller cancellation, payment will not be processed
We do not currently offer a formal refund system. All sales are final once the order is confirmed and the pickup window begins.
5. Pricing Policy
Our pricing structure is designed to make surplus food affordable while ensuring fair compensation for sellers:
- All products are priced at least 30-80% below regular retail prices
- Prices are set by sellers within our platform guidelines
- All applicable taxes are included in the displayed price
The discounted pricing reflects the time-sensitive nature of surplus food and the fact that these items would otherwise go to waste.
6. Special Considerations for Surplus Food
By using our service, you acknowledge that:
- Products may be close to their best-before date (but still safe to consume)
- Visual appearance may differ from standard retail products
- Available quantities may be limited
- Product descriptions are accurate but may have minor variations
These factors are inherent to our food rescue mission and are reflected in the discounted prices offered.
