What is Nosh?

Nosh is a marketplace that connects you with great food from nearby cafés, bakeries, restaurants and shops — at a fraction of the price. Sellers list food they have extra of, and you grab it cheap before it goes to waste.

How does it work?

Browse surprise bags from sellers near you, reserve and pay in the app, then pick it up during the shown window. Good food, better prices, nothing wasted.

We’re launching in Bharuch first, with Ahmedabad next. Join the waitlist to be first when we arrive in your city.

What is a surprise bag?

A bag of good food a seller has extra of that day — you know the type of place and roughly what to expect, but the exact contents are a surprise. That’s part of the fun (and how you get such a good price).

How much can I save?

Typically up to around 60% off — often about half the usual price.

Is the food fresh and safe?

Yes — it’s good food from real local businesses, not waste. Sellers are responsible for the quality and safety of what they list, and we ask them to hold a valid FSSAI registration. As with any food, check your order before eating and use your judgement.

Do I pick it up or is it delivered?

Pickup is the default — you collect from the seller during the pickup window, which keeps prices low and the food fresh. Buyer-paid delivery may be offered in some areas later.

How do I pay?

Securely in the app when you reserve, via our payment partner. You just show up and collect.

Can I choose what’s inside the bag?

Surprise bags are curated by the seller, so the exact contents vary. Any allergen or dietary information the seller provides will be shown — if in doubt, check with the seller.

I have an allergy — what should I do?

Please check the listing and confirm with the seller before ordering. You’re responsible for your own allergies and dietary needs.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Because items are surplus, some orders can’t be cancelled after a cutoff (shown at checkout). If a seller can’t provide a paid order, you may be eligible for a refund — see our Refund Policy.

How does Nosh help my business?

You earn money from food you’d otherwise waste, and new customers discover your place — with zero extra work.

What does it cost?

A small commission per sale. No upfront fee, no monthly fee. We only earn when you earn.

When can I list food?

Whenever you have extra — a slow afternoon, unsold stock, or close of day. You’re in control of when, what, how much, and the price.

How much work is it?

Minimal — one photo, set a price and quantity, done. About 30 seconds.

Do I need an FSSAI licence?

Yes. Sellers must hold a valid FSSAI registration/licence and are responsible for the safety, hygiene and quality of the food they list.

How do I get paid?

Payouts go to your registered account on our standard cycle, net of commission.

What is a Founding Seller?

One of our first 50 sellers — you get featured placement, first pick of customers, and a real say in how Nosh works.

How do referrals work?

Share your referral link — when friends join, you both unlock rewards, and referring 3 friends gets you a free bag on launch day. First 500 founding members only.
